EVERYDAY MAKEUP!

Before I start this, I just want to say that I am not a makeup artist. I'm still learning how to apply makeup properly (especially eye makeup) so please don't judge me at how awful I am ;)

I also want to say that I've decided to do something a little bit different today. Instead of just writing down step by step of my makeup routine, I decided to film it as well in case there were people who would rather watch instead of read :) This isn't me becoming a youtuber, this is just for the purpose of the blog and to make things a little easier. I may do more things like this in the future if any of you actually like it so please feel free to let me know :)

Okay...onto the post (finally).

So I have decided to do a post about my everyday makeup routine. I pretty much wear makeup everyday even if I'm not really leaving the house. It's something I enjoy doing and let's be honest, it improves the way I look a little bit ;)

Before Makeup:

Before I apply any makeup, I first cleanse my face with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and then I use the Simple Kind To Skin Facial Toner. To moisturise, I use a moisturiser (Bioten Skin Moisture) that one of my best friends got me from Cyprus which is the nicest smelling moisturiser I have ever owned. The primer that I use is the Olay Day Cream and Primer. I don't apply this until after I've done my eyebrows and eyeshadow (before foundation).

Eyebrows:

I do my eyebrows first so I can clean them up a bit when I apply my foundation and concealer. For my eyebrows, I use the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil which I use first just to fill in any sparse areas. Then I use the Benefit Gimme Brow to shape my brows.

Eye Makeup:

I also do my eyeshadow before my foundation so I clear up any fallout because fallout is annoying af. I don't always do it but most of the time I will apply a primer first. The primer I use is one of the Urban Decay samples and at the moment I am using the anti-aging primer. Usually if I don't want to use that primer, I will just use the good old concealer and powder method which I personally find better to apply eyeshadow on to. For my eyeshadow, I used the Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette. The shades I use are Thirteen, Combust and Password.

Thirteen - Under my brow
Combust - Brow bone and crease
Password - Outer corner of lid and blend all over lid

I apply mascara after I apple foundation and concealer. I start off with the Benefit Roller Lash to help control my eyelashes slightly as I have naturally long eye lashes and I don't own an eyelash curler (I really need to get one) and I also apply it on the lower lashes. I then Chanel mascara to make my lashes more fuller.

Foundation and Concealer:

After I apply my primer (which I do after my eyeshadow), I then move onto the foundation. I use the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation and I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush to apply it with. Then I will use the Real Techniques Beauty Blender just to blend in the foundation a bit more. Sometimes I will add moisturiser to my foundation or E45 cream as my skin can become quite dry when I apply foundation. For my concealer, I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I apply it under my eye, above my eyebrows and wherever else needs the coverage (usually my whole face because acne is a fun thing to have...). I use the beauty blender to blend it all in.

Contour:

I use the Sleek Contouring and Blush Palette which includes a contour, highlight and a blush. I start off with the contour and I tend to mainly focus on the cheek bones and my forehead. I apply it with the squared...rectangle...the white and pink brush (literally have no idea what it's called oh dear) that I got with the W7 The Honey Queen blusher a while ago but I don't use the blusher. To blend the contour in, I use the Real Techniques contour brush which I also use to apply and blend the brush. For the highlight, I apply it with the blending brush which I got with my Naked 2 palette on my cupids bow, nose, cheek bones and a little bit on my forehead. I blend it all in with the contour brush.

Lips:

I usually apply the Vaseline on either before or after I apply foundation just so my lips aren't too dry or too balmed up for when I apply my lipstick. For the lipstick, I use the Rimmel London Kate Moss 08 lipstick. Sometimes I can go quite heavy with my eyeshadow so this lipstick is perfect for that but it's also perfect for the not so heavy eye makeup as it's subtle.

If I'm planning to go out anyway, I will apply the Urban Decay Setting Spray over my makeup to set it.

So that's my everyday makeup routine which little bits of it tend to change every week because I like to take risks in life (only with makeup though...change scares me).

If you want to watch a video of me doing my makeup, then feel free to check it out :)

I hope you liked this post :) x
